A highly emotional event

On the 21st of October 2007, 100 pirogues and  20 boutries have sailed from Anakao beach to Tulear, in windy conditions - up to 35 knots of wind.

This competition has knock-on effects on economic, ecological and humanitarian issues.

Philip Plisson has photographed the Malagasy Cup from Anakao to Tulear.
