Gozo, the survival of a myth...

Quiet, green and colourful, Gozo island is deeply rooted in the myth : it is supposed to be the island of Calypso in Homer Odyssey.
Traditional fishing is still very alive. Survival from the past : the fishing boats, called "luzzus", painted with bright colours are descendants of the boats once used by the Phoenicians. The eye of Osiris, Phoenicians' god, painted on the bow, protects them against evil...
