Exphibition by Philip Plisson "Kerala - Backwaters' fishermen in India" until November the 5th, 2007Philip Plisson has travelled in India in February 2006. In Southern India, on the Kerala coast, 10 km from Kochin, Backwaters are lagoons and lakes filled with brackish waters. Philip took a keen interest to the fishermen casting their net . Net casting consists of throwing a conical-shaped net into shallow waters. It is a gesture that demands both strengh and skill. Hours of patience, to bring back home only what is necessary to provide for their family... "Kerala - Les pêcheurs des Backwaters en Inde" exhibition by Philip Plisson can be seen at the Gallery in Crac'h (Brittany - Morbihan). Digigraphies of the exhibition are on sale in the gallery.
