Pascal Maître                                                

Following studies in psychology, Pascal Maître embarks upon a career in photojournalism in 1979.

His numerous assignments lead him to the four corners of the earth, from Afghanistan to South America, with nevertheless a certain preference for Africa and Madagascar. 

His book,  Au cœur de l’Afrique (In the heart of Africa) from Editions Ventes de Sable, gathers images from fifteen years of work on the African soil, and Madagascar, Voyage dans un monde à part (Madagascar, travels in a world apart) conveys the ambience of this island, as surprising by its landscapes as it is by its inhabitants. 

His experienced reporter’s eye knows how to capture gripping images of man and his environment, and as a result of his technical mastery, he gives them to us without artifice.
