Le studio de prise de vue Harcourt

  Pierre-Anthony Allard
  Studio Harcourt

"In France, you are not an actor if you haven't been photographed by the Harcourt Studio",
writes Roland Barthes in 1957, in Myhologies.

Harcourt signature

For the past 70 years, the Harcourt signature has been the symbol of luxury, dreams and glamour. For 70 years, Harcourt has inspired beauty and emotion. This magical name, born in the early 1930's, continues today to lend to each shot a mythical quality, letting your imagination transport you right alongside Michèle Morgan, Jean Gabin or Ingrid Bergman.

Pierre-Anthony Allard, Artistic Director of the Harcourt Studio

As Guerlain evokes that which is fragant, so Harcourt evokes the visual.  And behing the vision is the man who sees everything, Pierre-Anthony Allard. At the age of three, his curls neatly plastered to his head, his mother took him to Harcourt to have his portrait made. He would return as a laboratory technician 20 years later, and there he would stay, working with the present owner, Anne-Marie de Montcalm. There he would rebuild the Harcourt Studio legend and give a new direction to the studio famous for its legendary black & white portraits...
