Since Editions Pêcheur d'images have established themselves as the publisher of the great photographers, the company allows a growing audience to take over the photographer's emotion facing the spectacle of the world. From Pêcheur d'images to Editions Pêcheur d'images... Philip Plisson, a photographer fond of sea, whose talent is greatly greeted by the medias, appointed "Peintre de la Marine" (Official Painter of the Navy), creates "Pêcheur d'images" in 1991 with his wife Marie-Brigitte. The family company takes in charge the production and the edition of Philip's photographies as well as the photographies of a few photographers of sea and sailing, whose talent is appreciated by Philip.
Add to this activity the books produced by several publishers in collaboration with the photographer, the reports as well in France as abroad. In 1999, the company becomes Editions Pêcheur d’images S.A.
The activity diversifies : new authors, new themes for the reproductions and extension of the range of products (books and other products).
The wide choice of new images enables to be present in other regions. Nowadays, 60 % of the activity is exported.
Except from Europe, its first market, the company distributes its products in 34 countries, among them : North America (U.S.A. - Canada), South Africa, Australia, China, Argentina, Mexico... Editions Pêcheur d'images' vocation :- Publish and promote the work of the photographers, partners of the Editions and friends of Philip - Create thematic lines of posters, calendars, stationery products, etc… - Distribute the collection of Philip and Guillaume Plisson's digigraphies - Produce books published by The Editions Pêcheur d'images or other publishers - Develop the distribution of the Editions' products thanks to a network of 700 retailors in France and a growing presence in 34 foreign countries - Organize photo exhibitions and events in France and abroad. One key word : qualitySince it was created, the company has been showing its intention of doing everything possible in order to improve the standards of quality : choice of the best papers, requirement in the photoengraving, print realized by a Master printer, presence of the publisher during the printing, product development in other sizes, etc … A choice of more than 300 reproductions The photographers partners of the Editions trust the Editions Pêcheur d'images, assured of the respect and reliability in the publishing of their work. This theme includes sea landscapes, lighthouses, sailing & yachting The Pêcheur d'images' Trio and Quatro , the innovation of Editions Pêcheur dimages. 3 or 4 images in the same theme, a trio of coulours, a style... Vegetal & Animal : flowers, gardens of the world, animals... Lands Near and Far away : Paris, lanscapes of the world, great sand deserts, the earth from above...
