Carlo Borlenghi is born in 1956 in Bellano, on the shore of the lake Como, where he started his career as a photographer following the local regattas. Still young, thanks to the sailing, he travels around the world, following the most important nautic events, beginning with the America’s Cup in 1983.
20 years on, and after photographying, for the worldwide press, boats such as “Moro di Venezia” and “Luna Rossa”, he becomes the official photographer of the regatta, a recognition of his work, making him known as one of the best sailing photographer in the world (the best for some). Every year, he publishes many books and calendars, always related to the sea.
His enthusiasm and open frame of mind brings him to try always new techniques and adventures and to continue updated both in the photographic field and the technological one. Curious and passionated, Carlo Borlenghi’s always away, by helicopter, by boat or dinghy, towards the next, splendid, yachting photography. Website : www.carloborlenghi.com |
